  2. If your project address is in unincorporated DuPage County, Lisle Township; visit www.dupagecounty.gov/building or call them at 630-407-6700. Effective January 31, 2022 the DuPage County Building & Zoning Department moved to an online permitting system – paper submissions will not be accepted. Their office is available for those who have questions or need assistance working through the new program.
  3. Then call us or fill out our attached permit application and fax (630-964-7244) or email (highway@lisletownship.com) to us.
  4. Allow 24 business hours for pick up. Let us know if you require it sooner.
  5. Should your project be larger in scope (ie: addition, new house), we most likely will require 2 copies of engineering plans from you and permit payment. Plans will be sent to our engineer for review and approval before formally issuing the permit. Engineering review letters and issued permits can be emailed to you.
  6. Pick up your permit at our office with payment (check or cash). Our office hours are 7:00am – 3:00pm. Issued permit will be emailed to you if mailing payment.
  7. Once your job is complete, contact DuPage County for a final inspection first. Provide us a copy of their approved inspection. We will then inspect our right-a-way and if all approved, mail a bond refund to the entity that paid the bond.

As always, please do not hesitate to call our office if you have any questions. We are here to assist you and make your permit process as easy as possible.
